About the Apprenticeship :

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a demonstrable interest in politics to work with the marketing team in a successful, fast-growing agency with a dynamic team based in the heart of Westminster, supporting a range of high profile clients to deliver public affairs consultancy and PR and communications solutions.

 

The role has three elements of equal importance…

 Social media and digital management for PLMR clients

o Daily management of online communities, across a series of subject areas, for PLMR clients, on digital channels

 

 Social media and website management for PLMR

o Create, manage and execute a content plan for PLMR’s website and social media channels

 

 Digital Marketing of PLMR’s services

o Proactively seek new business and promote PLMR’s services, using digital marketing techniques

 

Activities may be subject to amendment over time as the role develops and/or priorities and requirements evolve.

Please note that candidates will be asked to a write a blog for our website on any subject to do with current affairs or politics, 400 words max, and prior to an interview.

Weekly Wage:

£240

Working Week:

Monday to Friday

 

8:30am to 5:30pm

Political Lobbying and Media Relations Limited (PLMR) is a successful, fast-growing agency with a dynamic team based in the heart of Westminster, supporting a range of high profile clients to deliver public affairs consultancy and PR and communications solutions. We’ve won multiple awards for our campaigns across a variety of industry sectors.

Your role is to assist colleagues with social media, digital communications and digital marketing, bringing your enthusiasm and passion for the subject to PLMR, with the aim of promoting PLMR and our clients, online.

As the Social Media and Digital Marketing Apprentice, you will work with our Head of Broadcast, and across the wider team. The challenge is no less than this; to help boost PLMR’s presence, and our clients’ presence, online, and make social ‘baked-in’ to everything we do. You’ll be working with a diligent, dedicated team who are committed to providing fantastic results.

You will have the ability to communicate in a clear, concise and engaging way, you will be organised and a good team player. You will possess practical knowledge of social media platforms and be proficient in Microsoft office. Ideally you will also have a natural interest in the UK political and media landscape

Personal Qualities:

 

  • Must have a good phone manner and who can work well under pressure.
  • Must have a positive attitude and be a people person
  • Time-management and the ability to prioritise your work load is a must.

Qualifications Required:

Minimum qualifications are English, Maths and ICT GSCE’s level A-C or equivalent.

Graduates can apply but a degree not necessary nor will it give you an advantage. Common sense, a good attitude and a strong application are what we are looking for.

About the training:

In addition to crucial ‘on the job training’ you will be working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing, which is the equivalent of 2-A Levels.  Topics you will cover include:

  • Email marketing
  • Web development
  • Developing a content marketing strategy
  • Principles of social media within a business
  • Brand development
  • Search Engine Optimisation
  • Measuring and capturing analytics
  • Project management
