The Apprenticeship opportunity will suit anyone looking to kick start their career with in the Insurance sector.

Academy Insurance is looking for a Trainee Insurance Advisor looking to develop within a growing and forward-thinking employer.

The 12-month Apprenticeship is suitable for anyone looking to get some experience in an office an environment, and support a busy and thriving office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To learn how to deal with incoming post
• To learn how to deal with ongoing post and take responsibility for all post
• Filing
• To learn how to deal with office diary, and how to take responsibility for ensuring that general diary lists are kept up to date
• Organise and keep work space tidy
• Answer calls within three rings and learn how to deal with client queries / requests politely and efficiently within your capabilities.
• Seek assistance from, refer to appropriate members of staff
• Learn how to deal with customer queries
• Learn how to deal with renewal of insurance policies
General

1) you must be polite, courteous and patient when dealing with customers
2) Clients must feel confident in us and therefore you must always give the best advice using a friendly approach, seeking assistance when you are unsure
Training

You will receive training in many ways: on the job training, one to one mentoring and group sessions. You will be expected to take active part in your own self-development

Meetings

• Attend office meetings
• Attend sales meetings
• Action anything agreed within meetings
N.B. to ensure minimal disruption to the business and clients and insurers is not interrupted, meetings may take place outside normal working hours.

Appraisals

1) to attend appraisals interviews with your manager as required (1 per year minimum)

Summary

To learn the technical aspects of general insurance and to learn how to provide an excellent service to clients. To learn how to sell and develop a good sales performance. To assist the managers in ensuring the smooth running of the office and to offer help and suggestions for improvement.

N.B. The list of duties is not exhaustive and at times, you may be requested to carry out other duties which are appropriate to your position or to assists the company by working at another branch.

Weekly Wage:

£150.00

Working Week:

Mon – Friday 09:00-17:30

Future prospects description:

Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and evaluation by the company’s supervisors, the successful candidate may be offered a job at the end of the Apprenticeship.

About the training:

You will be working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Business and Professional Administration. In addition to crucial ‘on the job training’ depending on the qualification selected you may also study the following units:

• Principles of Marketing
