About the Apprenticeship :

The BMG Future Talent Programme provides the next generation of music talent with a unique, high quality, paid opportunity to work for BMG, a fast-growing international music company.  There are seven different apprenticeships on offer crossing different parts of the business including marketing, licensing, Sync and more.

As an Apprentice at BMG you will receive practical ‘hands on’ experience, and training provided by DiVA Apprenticeships all designed to help you develop the relevant skills and experience to kick start your career in the music business.

Your Mission.
Your mission with BMG will be to provide administrative support to the International Marketing team, ensuring all campaigns are run efficiently.

You’ll be with BMG on a 15 Month placement, starting on the 25th January 2021 where you will not only be gaining invaluable first-hand experience in Marketing, but you will also be gaining a Level 3 Junior Content Producer Qualification.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assisting the International Marketing Team in the day-to-day running of their campaigns.
• Liaising with BMG’s international marketing teams on running of campaigns.
• Assisting with the production and scheduling of releases.
• Supporting the team with the organisation of promo days and phone interviews, including booking travel, cars, hotels for international promo trips.
• Assisting the team in their administration duties including maintaining the gig schedule and internal asset tools up to date, circulating advance promo streams and assets, generating POs.
• Organise guest lists for international gigs and look after ticket buys with the local BMG marketing teams.
• Contributing ideas to be implemented in our global strategy.
• Support with ad hoc duties for the teams such as organising couriers, promo mail-outs.
• Create assets specific to international needs.
• Pull together International Marketing and promo reports and weekly sales reports
• Assisting with the formation of better and more efficient marketing workflows and processes.
• Create Intranet posts to share internal events in the UK with global teams.

Weekly Wage:

£19,565 p/a

Working Week:

Monday - Friday (10:00am - 6:00pm)

Future prospects description:

Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and evaluation by the company’s supervisors, the successful candidate may be offered a job at the end of the Apprenticeship.

Your Profile:

You don’t need to have any prior experience or qualifications to apply for this role, but you will need to have the following behavioural skills:
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive self-starter.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent copywriting skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Adobe Creative Suite Skills, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign / videography & photography skills beneficial.
• Passion for music!

Personal Qualities:

• A strong work ethic and commitment to meet the standards required
• Eager to learn
• Ability to generate ideas and concepts independently as well as working within a team
• And of course, a love of music!

Qualifications Required:

Minimum qualifications are English, Maths and ICT GSCE’s level A-C or equivalent.

Graduates can apply but a degree is not necessary, nor will it give you an advantage. Common sense, a good attitude, and a demonstrable passion for building a career in the music industry is important.

Important Other information:

The assessment days will be held on 18th & 19th November 2020 and the start date for this role is Monday 25th January 2021. Please do not apply if you are not available on these dates.

About the training:

In addition to crucial ‘on the job training’ you will be working towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Junior Content Producer, which is the equivalent of 2-A Levels. Topics you will cover include:

• Media content creation
• Communication and presentation skills
• Industry awareness in the creative and digital sector
• Respond to a Media Content Brief
• Shooting Capturing, Editing and Storing Media Content
