About the Apprenticeship :

The BMG Future Talent Programme provides the next generation of music talent with a unique, high quality, paid opportunity to work for BMG, a fast-growing international music company.  There are seven different apprenticeships on offer crossing different parts of the business including marketing, licensing, Sync and more.

As an Apprentice at BMG you will receive practical ‘hands on’ experience, and training provided by DiVA Apprenticeships all designed to help you develop the relevant skills and experience to kick start your career in the music business.

Your Mission.

Your mission with BMG will be to provide administrative support to UK Management in cooperation with the Executive Assistant to the President of UK Marketing & Repertoire.
You’ll be with BMG on a 15 Month placement, starting on the 25th January 2021 where you will not only be gaining invaluable first-hand experience in Business Administration, but you will also be gaining a Level 3 Business Administration Qualification.


Your Responsibilities:

• Act as the initial point of contact and liaison for the UK Management Office – screening calls, handling and directing enquiries and greeting visitors.
• Assist the Executive Assistant to President – UK Marketing & Repertoire with diary management to schedule and rearrange appointments including meetings, calls and reservations for UK Management.
• Plan and prepare travel arrangements – booking flights, trains, cars and accommodation.
• Assist in the preparation of various business reports, presentations and meetings documents.
• Draft meeting agendas, prepare meeting documents and take meeting minutes as required.
• Collate and distribute documentation requiring UK Management approval – electronic and physical.
• Book and prepare meeting rooms, arrange catering/refreshments and ensure IT requirements are met if required.
• Assist with various Project Management tasks and undertake smaller project tasks independently as required.
• Create and maintain filing systems – electronic and physical.
• Run errands and organise post/courier deliveries and correspondence.
• Liaise with HoDs, Executive Assistants, Team Assistants, Office Management and Coordinators across the business to bridge creative and business operational and administrative efficiency.
• Proactively follow up on action points, circulate reminders, updates and gather information as required.
• Inbox Management for UK Business Schedule and UK Events Schedule

Weekly Wage:

£19,565 p/a

Working Week:

Monday - Friday (10:00am - 6:00pm)

Future prospects description:

Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and evaluation by the company’s supervisors, the successful candidate may be offered a job at the end of the Apprenticeship.

You don’t need to have any prior experience or qualifications to apply for this role, but you will need to have the following behavioural skills:

Qualifications Required:

Minimum qualifications are English, Maths and ICT GSCE’s level A-C or equivalent.

Graduates can apply but a degree is not necessary, nor will it give you an advantage. Common sense, a good attitude, and a demonstrable passion for building a career in the music industry is important.

Important Other information:

The assessment days will be held on 18th & 19th November 2020 and the start date for this role is Monday 25th January 2021. Please do not apply if you are not available on these dates.

Candidates who are shortlisted must be available to attend an Assessment Day which will include their first interview.

About the training:

You will be working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration. In addition to crucial ‘on the job training’ depending on the qualification selected you may also study the following units:
