About the Apprenticeship :
The Broadcast Production Assistant will be a vital part of the team, working with Producers, Directors, Floor Managers and Production Managers to create a live show daily. With guidance and hands on experience, the apprenticeship will teach you all you need to know about a live studio show, from concept to execution. Understanding all the roles involved in creating the show will give you great exposure to the different positions in television and we will help you acknowledge where you would like to specialise.
Monday-Friday (06:00 – 13:00) – subject to needs of production
Future prospects description:
Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and evaluation by the company’s supervisors, the successful candidate may be offered a job at the end of the Apprenticeship.
ITN Productions, ITN’s independent production company, produces high quality creative content across seven distinct business areas: television and film, sports, advertising, education, industry programming, post production, news production services and archive footage.
We make the award-winning news programmes for ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, reaching around 10 million people every day and providing comprehensive and impartial news to the British public.

• Organisational – you must be well organised and able to multi-task
• People person – you must have a can-do attitude and be able to engage with colleagues as well as visitors to the studio
• Communication – you must have excellent communication skills both written and oral
We are looking for someone with lots of energy and enthusiasm who wants to get stuck in! The ideal candidate will be open minded and seek to take the opportunity to learn different roles in television production. With confidence and interpersonal skills, the assistant will become a familiar face to presenters and guests on the show and will be a real team player.
We are looking for someone who wants to learn by experience and progress in the Television Industry.
Minimum qualifications are English, Maths and ICT GSCE’s level A-C or equivalent.
Graduates can apply but a degree is not necessary, nor will it give you an advantage. Common sense, a good attitude, and a demonstrable passion for building a career in the television industry is important.

About the training:
In addition to crucial ‘on the job training’ you will be working towards a Level 3 Broadcast Production Assistant Apprenticeship, which is the equivalent of 2-A Levels. Topics you will cover include:

• Production Development
• Industry Awareness
• Content Creation
• Editing and Post-Production
• Live Content Creation
