About the Apprenticeship :

Republic Media is an independent PR and management company, mainly working in the music industry. Your role will be to assist the team with their daily tasks and to be responsible for the general running of the busy office. You will also be required to attend gigs, meetings and events throughout your apprenticeship

Responsibilities:

• Manage the office diary and ensure sure staff members are prepared for meetings
• Attend meetings and take detailed notes
• Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms
• Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
• Answer and direct phone calls to relevant people
• Assist the team with their team in their daily duties
• Liaise with the team to handle requests and queries from clients
• Update and maintain office policies and procedures
• Maintain and update contact lists, tour dates and release schedules
• Order office supplies and research new deals and suppliers
• Maintain the filing system
• Book travel arrangements
• Submit and reconcile expense reports
• Organise and complete mailouts
• Provide general support to visitors

Weekly Wage:

£5.00 an hour

Working Week:

Monday – Friday 9:30am – 6:00pm

Future prospects description:

Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and evaluation by the company’s supervisors, the successful candidate may be offered a job at the end of the Apprenticeship.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential
• Working knowledge of office equipment preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, in particular)
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work

Qualifications Required:

Minimum qualifications are English, Maths and ICT GSCE’s level A-C or equivalent.

About the training:

You will be working towards a Level 3 standards in Business Administration. In addition to crucial ‘on the job training’ depending on the qualification selected you may also study the following units:

• Managing Information and Producing Documents in a Business
• Monitor Information systems
• Principles of Administration
